Eight weeks in, the QB board got rebuilt again, eight tiers this time. Mahomes is still on top by himself and Caleb Williams is up ten spots now after beating Seattile, from 15th to 5th. The full board is on the QB tiers page.

Has Mahomes been lights out? No. Has he lost two straight? Yes. Has anyone else seized the top spot? No, not really. He’s 11th in EPA per dropback with 12 touchdowns and four picks, and he threw for 321 and three touchdowns in the 28-24 loss in Denver.

Come to the front of the class, you all have been outstanding. Caleb Williams is up ten spots from 15th and is third in the league in EPA per dropback after 247 yards and no picks in Seattle. Trevor Lawrence is second at 17 touchdowns to four interceptions, and Joe Burrow threw for 462 and five touchdowns in the overtime win over the Titans.

Rocky starts, circumstances aren’t great, defense is awful, but you’re in good shape for the season or at least can have a positive mindset for the back half. Dak went from fifth to 12th with the last-ranked defense behind him. Jordan Love went from 22nd to 10th and has 16 touchdowns, and Jayden Daniels is at six touchdowns and no interceptions in five games.

In honor of Kevin Wildes, what’s going on here? Watson has the Browns at 5-3 and is 22nd in EPA per dropback, and he was 27 of 39 for 324 with no touchdowns in the 27-6 loss in Pittsburgh. Baker has less than 100 yards in his last two games, not separately, combined, 64 total. Bryce started hot and has significantly cooled, plus 0.21 EPA per dropback through Week 4 and minus 0.20 since. Penix fell from 11th to 22nd after throwing four interceptions in a 16-0 loss and looking a lot like Tua.

Wow, Cam Ward with one of his sharpest-looking games yet? He looked legitimately good for once in all aspects, 26 of 41 for 304 and two touchdowns with no picks, and the 36 points are the most the Titans have scored all year by ten. He’s still 30th in EPA per dropback. Jacoby Brissett is playing himself potentially to get traded to a team like a Minnesota or Baltimore who are in desperate need of QBs right now, though he has 10 touchdowns and seven interceptions. And JJ has a new lease on NFL life, 495 yards in two games with the Giants.

Lamar and Hurts are here due to injury. Though to be frank, Hurts wasn’t exactly killing it either, he’s 25th in EPA per dropback, while Lamar was first in the league before he went down. And the rest have just been bad. Daniel Jones is 33rd with five touchdowns and nine picks, Herbert is 35th with five and 10 on an 0-7 team, and Murray is 29th.

Malik is just in a bad situation. Super hard to evaluate although frankly I don’t think he’s all that good. But I’m giving him grace because Miami is awful. Now, the thing is, if you have a good QB, they’d be in more games than they are. He has six touchdowns and five picks and has been sacked 21 times on a 1-6 team. Jaxson Dart is obviously hurt and just hasn’t played enough, and we won’t see him for a while. He had knee surgery and is out for at least the rest of the regular season, and he was 23 of 29 for 230 and three touchdowns in Week 1.
