How PlainFrame CMS collects, uses, and protects your information.

Effective date: July 12, 2026  ·  Last updated: July 2026

1. Introduction

PlainFrame CMS ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use our service. Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the Service.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect information about you in the following ways:

  • Account information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, username, and password.
  • Usage data: We automatically collect certain information when you use the Service, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages visited, and timestamps.
  • Content you provide: Any content, media, or data you upload, create, or publish through the Service.
  • Communications: If you contact us directly, we may receive additional information such as the contents of your message and any attachments.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
  • Improve, personalise, and expand the Service.
  • Understand and analyse how you use the Service.
  • Develop new products, services, features, and functionality.
  • Communicate with you — for service updates, security alerts, and support.
  • Prevent fraudulent or unauthorised use and ensure the security of the Service.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

4. Cookies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track activity on the Service and hold certain information. Cookies are small data files stored on your device. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent.

We use the following categories of cookies:

  • Essential cookies: Necessary for the Service to function. These include session management, CSRF protection, and login state. They cannot be disabled.
  • Analytics cookies: Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager to measure aggregated, anonymised traffic. No personally identifiable information is stored.
  • Preference cookies: Store your cookie consent choice so we do not ask on every visit.

5. Third-Party Services

We may share information with third-party vendors and service providers that perform services on our behalf, including analytics, email delivery, and hosting. These parties are authorised to use your information only as necessary to provide these services and are bound by confidentiality obligations.

We currently use:

  • Google Analytics 4 / Google Tag Manager — website analytics. Google Privacy Policy.
  • Mailgun — transactional email delivery.

We have enabled Google Analytics Advertising Features, specifically Google Signals. When enabled, Google Analytics collects additional information about visitors who are signed in to their Google account and have Ads Personalisation turned on — including aggregated demographics (such as age ranges and gender) and interest categories. This data is aggregated and anonymised; we cannot use it to identify you. You can opt out at any time via your Google Ads Settings, or prevent Google Analytics data collection entirely with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. We may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Deletion: Request that we delete your personal data.
  • Objection: Object to processing of your personal data.
  • Portability: Request transfer of your data in a machine-readable format.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details below.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 16. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Privacy Policy.
